Wellbeing & Nature Connection
I’m the Global CEO of Myzone, a category-defining motivation technology company shaping how people engage with movement, health, and long-term behaviour change.
I’ve spent more than two decades leading global businesses, including executive leadership roles through periods of high growth, intense pressure, and major private equity transactions.
Along the way, I learned something the hard way:
Performance without recovery isn’t strong and admirable.
It’s risk. Plain and simple.
In 2019, following a half-billion-dollar transaction, I experienced significant burnout (more of that below).
That moment didn’t end my ambition but it fundamentally reframed it. Since then, my focus has been on understanding how leaders can sustain clarity, energy, and decision-making over the long term.
Alongside my executive work, I hold two Master’s degrees in Human Performance Physiology and Outdoor & Nature-Based Wellbeing, grounding my perspective in both science and lived experience.
Today, my work spans:
• Leading a global MoTech business as CEO
• Exploring motivation, habit formation, and self-determination
• Supporting leadership sustainability and burnout avoidance
• Advocating for nature as a performance and perspective tool, not simply an escape
I share openly because I believe the next generation of leadership will need resilience by design, not by sacrifice.

For 20 years, I helped build and lead global fitness and technology businesses at the highest level.
I held senior executive roles, including President of Life Fitness, helped lead a $500M private equity transaction, and spent decades operating in environments defined by pace, pressure, and responsibility.

I held senior executive roles, including President of Life Fitness, helped lead a $500M private equity transaction, and spent decades operating in environments defined by pace, pressure, and responsibility.
From the outside, it looked like success.
And in many ways, it was.
But like many leaders, I learned early to prioritise performance above everything else.
Long hours. Constant decision-making. Travel. Growth. Results. Recovery was optional. Stress was normalised. I was always ON. And I was staying in the game.
Until I wasn’t.

In 2019, after years of sustained pressure and a huge half billion dollar exit, I hit real burnout.

Burnout.
It forced me to stop and confront something I’d ignored for most of my career: performance without wellbeing isn’t sustainable leadership.
No title or transaction protects you from that reality.
That period changed how I see leadership forever. It pushed me to step back, reassess how I was operating, and rebuild my systems from the inside out.
Not just physically, but mentally, emotionally, socially and behaviourally.

I didn’t walk away from ambition. I redefined how I pursue it.

I returned to leadership with a different operating system. One built and framed around the pillars of recovery, clarity, and repeatable habits that supported long-term sustainable performance
I formalised learning through academic study, earning a second Master’s degree in Outdoor Wellbeing, and grounded all of my lived experience with peer reviewed evidence. I proactively pursued mastery of new skills like Jiu Jitsu to help rewire my mindset.
Today, I’m the Global CEO of Myzone, leading the evolution of MoTech (Motivation Technology) designed not just to measure effort, but to sustain it.
Alongside that role, I speak and write openly about leadership sustainability, burnout prevention, and the role nature plays in restoring perspective and performance.
This work matters to me because I’ve lived both sides of it.
You can build meaningful success without sacrificing your health, relationships, or identity.
But only if you lead differently.

A leadership sustainability check-in
High performance leadership comes with pressure. But sustained performance requires more than grit.
The PRIME Index is a short, free self-assessment designed to help leaders understand their current risk of burnout and their overall wellbeing capacity - before things start to break down.
The PRIME index uses validated tests used around the world for more than 4 decades.
It has elements of the Maslach Burnout Inventory (the most widely used burnout framework globally) together with validated wellbeing and energy indicators used in performance and health psychology
This isn’t a diagnosis.
I’m not a doctor or therapist.
This about helping guide you to a starting point rather than diagnosing anything.
Think of it as a practical reflection tool - a moment of honest self-reflection and a way to spot early warning signs most leaders ignore or catch too late,
The assessment is 100% confidential and all data is held securely in the cloud behind dual factor authentication
Because I’ve lived both sides of leadership - the good and the bad. I came through the low and have rebuilt my systems to ensure I can lead sustainably.
This assessment is what I wish was easily available when I was struggling.
PRIME is a leadership wellbeing check-in built around five core drivers of sustainable performance.
It looks at not just how hard you’re working, but how well you’re operating while you do.
PRIME stands for:
P — Pressure
How much cognitive and emotional load you’re carrying.
R — Recovery
How well you’re restoring energy, not just resting when exhausted.
I — Identity & Autonomy
The degree of control, choice, and alignment you feel in your work.
M — Meaning & Motivation
Whether your effort still feels purposeful, not just relentless.
E — Energy
The fuel behind your decisions, presence, and resilience.
Together, these factors determine whether a leader is primed for sustainable performance — or quietly heading toward burnout.
